Our Founders
Jonathan Kis-Lev
A graduate of the Tikvah Program for Political Leadership at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel, Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in a broad range of projects such as the Bereaved Families for Peace, a support organization for families of all faiths bereaved in the conflict.
Kis-Lev believes in the power of education and the arts in promoting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. He believes that encouraging encounters designed at eliminating mutual fear between the two sides need have no relation to political stances.
Kis-Lev thinks of himself as a Zionist and sees no contradiction between that and his peace activism. Since 2008, Kis-Lev has written and lectured about the possibilities for peace in the Middle East, stressing the importance of education for peace as a solution to the conflict.
Her current research focuses on democratization in the Middle East, US Middle Eastern relations, and the interaction of religion with politics. Recently Riman completed a Fulbright scholarship at Marquette University, Wisconsin.
Riman is committed to the prosperity and national aspirations of the Palestinian people. She believes in developing strong and just political institutions in Palestine and that dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis is essential in achieving peace.
Riman Barakat
Riman holds two graduate degrees in Middle Eastern Studies and International Affairs. She is a published scholar who researched the historical, political and social life of Jerusalem.

ريمان بركات هي المديرة الفلسطينية لمؤسسة إبكري "مبادرات إقليمية مبدعة في إسرائيل و فلسطين. تحمل شهادتن في الدراسات العليا في موضوعين الدراسات الشرق أوسطية و الشوؤن الدولية. ريمان باحثة كتبت في مواضيع تختص في الشوؤن التاريخية, السياسية و الإجتماعية لمدينة القدس. مواضيع أبحاثها في الوقت الحالي هي الدمقراطية في الشرق الأوسط, العلاقات الأمريكية الشرق أوسطية و العلاقة ما بين الدين و السياسة. لقد حصلت ريمان مؤخرا على منحة فولبرايت في جامعة ماركيت في وسكونسن. ريمان ملتزمة في أهمية العيش الكريم و تحقيق الأهداف الوطنية للشعب الفلسطيني. و هي تؤمن في تطوير المؤوسسات القوية و العادلة في فلسطين و أن الحوار ما بين الفلسطينيين و الإسرائليين أساسي لتحقيق السلام.

רימאן ברכאת היא המנהלת השותפה הפלסטינית של IPCRI, מרכז ישראל-פלסטין למחקר ומידע. היא בעלת שני תארים בלימודי המזרח התיכון ויחסים בין-לאומיים. רימאן היא חוקרת מלומדת אשר חקרה את החיים ההיסטוריים, הפוליטיים והחברתיים בירושלים. מחקרה הנוכחי מתמקד בדמוקרטיזציה במזרח התיכון, יחסי ארה"ב והמזרח התיכון ויחסי הגומלין בין דת ופוליטיקה. לאחרונה רימאן השלימה מלגת פולברייט באוניברסיטת מרקט, ויסקונסין. רימאן מחויבת לשגשוג ולשאיפות הלאומיות של העם הפלסטיני. היא מאמינה בפיתוח מוסדות חזקים ופוליטיים בפלסטין ושדיאלוג בין הפלסטינים והישראלים הוא חיוני להשגת השלום.
יונתן כיס-לב הוא אמן ישראלי רב-תחומי ופעיל שלום. בוגר תוכנית תקווה למנהיגות פוליטית במרכז הבינתחומי בהרצליה. הוא בעל מעל 15 שנות ניסיון במגוון רחב של פרויקטים כמו המשפחות השכולות למען השלום, אמנים למען שלום ועוד. כיס-לב מאמין בכוחם של החינוך והאמנויות בקידום השלום בין הישראלים לפלסטינים. לדעתו אין קשר בין דעות פוליטיות לבין הצורך עבור שני הצדדים להכיר ולהפגש. כיס-לב רואה את עצמו כציוני אמיתי ולא רואה שום סתירה בין היותו כזה לבין פעילותו למען השלום. מאז 2008, כיס-לב כותב ומרצה על האפשרויות לשלום במזרח התיכון, ומדגיש את חשיבות החינוך והמפגשים בין שני הצדדים כתנאי לשלום בר-קיימא.
